HTC One V from Bell Mobility

The HTC One V features a unique, curved design and is powered by Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The amazing camera captures every moment with crisp, vivid, beautiful photos, even in low light.

Plus, you’ll hear music the way the artist intended with Beats Audio™. Sharing and storing your favourite pictures, videos and files has never been easier with Dropbox integrated into HTC Sense.

When you get the HTC One V, you'll also get 25 GB of cloud storage with Dropbox free for 2 years.

This phone is my first smartphone, and usually works great, but it is annoyingly slow. When I got the phone, there were close to 50 apps on it, most of them useless. I think this is taking up storage and slowing down my phone. The typing keyboard has quite small keys and i had to upgrade to a typing app and that works well. Beats audio is great! The funny curve at the bottom of the phone has put a red sore spot on my upper leg a few times, and it seems quite unnecessary and just makes the phone seem thicker. Recommended for a patient person's first phone, or anybody else's first smartphone.

Have had this model twice now. First time it broke in 2 months for no apparent reason. Never dropped at all. Bell gave me a brand new model cause they couldn't find the cause of the failure or the first one. 6 months later, which i will admit is better then the first time, same problem. Don't get this phone. This should literally be the loaner phone that they give out. That bad.

I have owned this phone since it was launched and like most pieces of technology I had minor issues with it, but overall I think that this is a very high value phone for the price that you pay. Here are some tips that I would recommend to a potential owner:1) Make sure that your software is up to date before you start using it, because many software issues were solved in an HTC update that was released. 2) Make sure that you buy a Micro SD card of any size because the on-board memory is small. 3) If the Sense 4.0 user interface isn't for you, I recommend the free "Nova Launcher" from the Google Play store to make it look like Android as it was intended to be seen (like a Nexus device). 4) Finally, be sure to get a good case like an Otter Box online because despite it being made of solid aluminum; any phone can be damaged due to abuse.
